All pet commissions include free pawprints of your pet with the option for additional memorial pieces.
If you are happy to donate your pet to art, you can receive free memorial pieces, skull cleaning, or other custom items.
Is dog taxidermy legal in the UK?
Yes. Dog taxidermy is legal in the UK when carried out using ethically sourced specimens and in accordance with animal welfare. All pet memorial work undertaken is done transparently and respectfully.
How should I prepare my dog if I am considering taxidermy?
If you are considering dog taxidermy, your dog should be frozen as soon as possible (within 24 hours) after passing. Wrap them securely in several layers of cling film or place them inside two airtight bags to prevent freezer burn.
If you are unsure what to do, please contact me for guidance before making any arrangements.
Do you work with all dog breeds and sizes?
I work with a wide range of dog breeds and sizes, from small companion dogs to larger breeds. Pricing and timelines vary depending on size and complexity, and these details are discussed on an individual basis.
What happens to the remains after taxidermy?
Return of remains or cremation can be arranged at an additional cost. For small breeds, I offer a biodegradable wrap service, where your dog must be collected and buried on the same day.
I also offer both private and communal cremation through an external provider. Please note that any dog over 10kg must be cremated, which incurs an additional charge.
If you choose to donate your dog to art, complimentary memorial options such as skull cleaning or small keepsakes may be available.
Taxidermy is a natural and unpredictable process, and every commission is created as a unique, handcrafted art piece.
Before enquiring, we kindly ask that you take a moment to read our Terms & Conditions, which outline important information about timeframes, deposits, artistic interpretation, and the care involved in each commission.
